God Finishes What He Starts
š Philippians 1:6 ā āAnd I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.ā
Sometimes we look at our lives and feel like weāre still under construction ā still struggling, still learning, still trying to get it right. It can be discouraging when you donāt feel like youāve arrived yet.
But Philippians 1:6 reminds us of something powerful: God finishes what He starts.
That means if He started a good work in you ā Heās not done yet.
Think about how an artist paints a masterpiece. It doesnāt look complete in the middle ā there are messy brushstrokes and layers that donāt make sense yet. But the artist knows exactly what the finished picture will look like.
Thatās how God works in us. Even when all we see is the mess, He sees the masterpiece.
Sometimes, Godās work takes time. Joseph spent years in prison before God fulfilled His plan. Moses spent forty years in the wilderness before leading Israel. Even the disciples made mistakes before they became bold preachers of the gospel. But in every story, God didnāt quit ā He completed His purpose.
So if you feel stuck or unfinished right now, remember this: you are a work in progress, and thatās okay. The God who began His work in you has no intention of leaving you halfway. Heās still shaping you, still growing you, and still writing your story ā and He always finishes strong.
