Episode 56 - Pharmacy Preceptor: How to Overdeliver for Pharmacy Students

In pharmacy world, continuing education is not just a requirement, it’s ESSENTIAL. But to fully maximize your personal skills and evidence-based knowledge, the most effective way to grow your brain gains is to have an excellent teacher- make that practice-specific, and the most essential asset you can have is a preceptor. I welcome to the podcast Mike Corvino, PharmD, CDE, BCPS, who has been awarded Preceptor of the Year for 3 years in a row!
Dr. Corvino received a BS degree in biochemistry from Charleston Southern University. He then graduated with his PharmD from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2015. Having a strong pursuit for evidence-based knowledge and practice, he then went on to become a certified diabetes educator and board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist in 2018.
Currently, he works as a clinical pharmacist and diabetes educator at Fetter Health Care Network. He also serves as a diabetes educator for Palmetto Pharmacist Network as well as an adjunct assistant professor of pharmacology for the physician assistant program at Charleston Southern University. Outside of work, I am the cohost of the evidence-based medicine podcast CorConsult Rx and host of the CorConsult Rx Flash Briefing on Amazon's Alexa device.
