Greg and Giles announce the candidates for the 14th Annual Weirdcademy Awards in our usual four categories: Weirdest Movie, Best Actor/Actress in a Weird Movie, and Weirdest Scene. Voting begins Sunday, Feb. 18 at 366weirdmovies.com and lasts until March 10 (the same date as Hollywood's less meaningful Most Conventional Movie Awards). Before that, we address the week's weird movie news: a "surrealistic magical odyssey" from Jennifer Lopez, a (legit?) "Repo Man" sequel from Alex Cox, Jean-Luc Godard's final short film hits Blu-ray, and a Columbia mega-UHD pack that includes a possibly marginally weird movie.
Errata: The Melanie Martinez project Greg references is "K-12" (2019). Emilio Estevez continued to act after "Repo Man" (who knew?) Yorgos Lanthimos' debut film, which Giles references, is titled "Kinetta" (2005).
