Legacy Preparatory Charter Academy
The focus of our podcast today is Diabetes. There's Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes which we will identify with short videos. We will learn about what the difference is between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, how the data has changed over the last 40 years around Type 2 diabetes. Even it's name has had to change and it's for a very sad reason.
Our own RN from Mesquite, Ms. Margaret Ortiz, will let us know what happens when we have a child with Type 1 diabetes, and how we work with the family to ensure a seamless transition from one school to another. We will also share what families can do to help decrease the possibility of their family members getting either pre-diabetes or Type 2 Diabetes.
