"A yearly annual thing" - Call of Duty originated back in 2003.  As time progressed, the series has honed the FPS craft along with its action-linear gameplay.  Thirteen years later the formula still remains in tact, but has minor flaws (majority consensus) while one expresses that the game on a technical scale shines, but it falsely advertises open environments when the "hallway" is the narrowest of narrow.
