Early in 2018, Brian and Rekka decided to collaborate on a novel series. They got a few scenes written and came up with some story ideas, but it got set aside in June and now they are ready to get back to it.

In this episode, they recap the story they’re crafting, both to remind themselves where they left off, and make some decisions regarding the world building and what the next steps are.

Prior to this episode, Brian suggested they start over, but as the episode develops, we realize there is quite a bit of work already done which we are happy to use as the groundwork.

So in this episode we recap for you, but also as we remember the details ourselves, the premise of the story, including the world set around our version of Atlantis (the “dome thing”), a prophecy to be fulfilled, the players in the current royal court, the dangers they are facing, and the relationships between them. We also touch a bit upon the methods of working on the same file between two writers.

As our co-hosts work their way through this novel, their brainstorming sessions will make occasional appearances on the main podcast, but the majority of them will be posted to Patreon for our supporters there.
