We chat with MF Robots. Effortlessly dismantling the barriers between R&B, soul, funk, disco and jazz sounds, MF Robots are about to drop their second long-player, ‘Break The Wall’, on BBE Music. For those not in the know, MF Robots is the soulful project from The Brand New Heavies originator Jan Kincaid and vocalist Dawn Joseph.

Astonishing musicianship, pristine production and top-tier songwriting, their music calls to mind those iconic American rhythm sections of the 70s and 80s. We chat to Jan and Dawn about how the group came to be, their time in the Heavies and what the future looks like for bands in this current musical climate of Covid and TikTok production.
