Today we begin the first in a five-part series based on a story found in 2 Kings 3:1-25. The story is about how God guides the kingdoms of Israel, Judah, and Edom in a successful military campaign against the people of Moab. As we discuss lessons from this story, we connect them to the experiences of people of African descent in recognition of Black History Month. 

 

Part 1 focuses on the notion that God has a word for you even in passages of Scripture that seem obscure. Further, in our episode, we discuss the idea that sometimes to get us somewhere God has to take us on a circuitous route.
