In Episode 58  Lynn Morstead and Kelli Soika interview one of our podcast listeners who reached out to us earlier this year.  Nick Michelsen, a fire fighter in Edmonton, Canada, started listening to our podcast after reading about a new cohousing community in Edmonton.  He was curious what else he could find about cohousing in a podcast search on "cohousing".  Our podcast popped up and he's been a regular listener ever since!

We wanted to interview Nick about his experiences that have sparked his passion for community and cohousing as a way of living. In this interview we cover:

  • A year working at the organic farm in Svanholm, an intentional community located near the village of Skibby, 60km from Copenhagen on the isle of Sealand in Denmark.
  • Life in the firehall with Nick's rig team.
  • How the fire fighters manage the cooking and the kitchen together.
  • The positive value of work to the healthy dynamic of the fire hall relationships.

Listen in to find out more about our conversation.  For more information about our project, please check out our website at www.cohousinghouston.com. Let us know if you have any comments or ideas by emailing us at [email protected]
