Most college students know about the musical style of a cappella from the hit film trilogy “Pitch Perfect,” but for some Chapman students, the world of a cappella is a part of their daily lives. To learn more about the history of a cappella and what being in one of these ensembles is like, The Panther Pod talked to Men of Harmony singer Spencer Gonzalez, a senior business administration major, and Valentyna Simon, a sophomore psychology major and assistant music director of The Chaptones.
