đ Proverbs 26:11 â âAs a dog returns to its vomit, so also a fool repeats his foolishness.â
Okay⌠this oneâs kind of gross.
The Bible says, âAs a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his foolishness.â
Yep, itâs nasty. But thatâs exactly why youâll remember it â because God wanted it to stick.
Hereâs what it means: when we keep going back to the same mistakes, same bad habits, or same unwise choices, itâs like going back to something disgusting that we shouldâve walked away from.
Think about it â maybe God helped you out of a bad attitude, a toxic friendship, or a habit that was pulling you down. But then you find yourself slipping back into it again.
Itâs like saying, âGod, thanks for cleaning me up⌠but I think Iâll go roll in the mess again.â
And if Jesus were standing in front of you â He wouldnât yell or shame you. Heâd look at you with love and say, âYou donât have to go back there. I set you free from that.â
Heâd remind you that Heâs already washed you clean â and He wants you to keep walking forward, not back.
Sometimes the enemy tries to convince you that youâll never change, that youâll always be stuck. But thatâs a lie. The truth is â every time you choose wisdom over foolishness, every time you say ânoâ to the old and âyesâ to God, youâre proving that His Spirit lives in you.
