The Reverend Shawn Amos will release his latest album on October 16. The Reverend Shawn Amos Loves You, produced by two-time Grammy nominee Mindi Abair, collects ten originals and two covers that explore a deep blues sound. The son of Wally "Famous Amos" and nightclub singer Shirl-ee May Ellis, The Reverend Shawn Amos is an ordained minister in the Universal Life Church committed to spreading his secular gospel. Today we premiere "Days of Depression" from the forthcoming record, which features guest vocals from The Blind Boys of Alabama. The Reverend Amos tells Relix, "What better cure for the blues than singing with the Blind Boys of Alabama. This is a tune about the tension that is life. Finding the strength to keep moving when you want to give up. It's really a meditation disguised as a chain gang tune.
