Shanely and Eric of Pangea Exploration found their dream job operating expedition and research charters throughout the world’s oceans!  They run adventure sailing voyages on the Sea Dragon a  72ft (22m), 90,000lb displacement steel-hulled sailing vessel that has circumnavigated the world twice. With over 220,000 nautical miles between the two of them, they are truly living life beyond 9 to 5 as they embark on various adventures from visiting remote islands in the South Pacific to introducing first-time sailors to the wonders of the ocean! 

 

In this week’s episode Courtney sits down with Shanely and Eric about how they got this dream job, why sailing is the best vehicle to experience travel, the importance of ocean conservation, how plastic is destroying our oceans, what it’s like to spend an extended amount of time at seas, and so much more!
