We recorded this episode before the Sacramento Ballet made the decision to end the 2014-2015 season three weeks early on May 19, 2015.

Rex Wheeler chats about his self-admitted clichéd beginnings in ballet after watching Billy Elliot, Wreckx-n-Effect, and how the dancers rebounded from the heartbreak of Sacramento Ballet’s season ending early by taking the routines they’d put together for Beer and Ballet and celebrating their creativity by starting the Capital Dance Project. CDP is presenting Behind the Barre on May 30th at the Crest Theater. New Helvetia Brewing and Clay Nutting are two of the supporters of this new project
