Episode 5a: This is a test….this is only a test.

Hi! I’m Heidi Riggs, owner and teaching artist at Heidi Riggs’ Vocal Studio in Richmond, Michigan. Thank you for your support, and for checking out and sharing my podcast. 

𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝘉𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘦. 𝘉𝘦. has always been my studio “handle” on Facebook. There’s an entire story with resulting synchronicities and manifestations that this title has influenced, so I was compelled to use it for my podcast. And it fits, so there’s that! 
I’ve dedicated my life to studying music, performing, and teaching voice, as well as promoting the Arts as a REAL “job”.  I’m blessed with a highly successful voice studio with story after story of transformation and students reaching for and smashing their goals. Alan Lindquest, renowned vocal pedagogist, once said, “90% of singing is psychological”. And I think he might have understated that. LOL!
Very often, students need to release limiting beliefs to release the voice. The place where trust and courage overcome fear is where we get the work done. It’s where we live. 
My podcast is where I speak from the heart, and where I’m vulnerable and encourage others to be so as well. I intend to leave the listener feeling enthusiastic about their own lives through my personal stories, struggles,and triumphs, and other people’s stories of surviving and thriving despite heartbreak and hardships. I’ll definitely be including “fun days” when I bring in a friend to just be silly with (aka Play Dates!), and I’ll create challenges that inspire action toward healing through mindfulness and self-care to clear the way to write your own Hero’s Story. 
Please join me once a week for reflection, stories, interviews, challenges, a laugh or ten, and just a bit of the good stuff.
