Philosophizing my way through the idea of motherhood and art making with the help of work from women I admire (myself included). An honest, raw expression of the wonder and agony of being more than I knew I was and how it shows up in my life.

Special shout out to: ⁠Positive Space Studios⁠ in Chicago for hosting the group show This Is Your Allowance, a show of nine artist mothers who examine their own bodies, experiences and pieces of the mundane, to create otherworldly landscapes and reimagined portraits. This show is part of the Taking Up Space initiative, a grassroots movement for women and non-binary artists through the ⁠Thrive Together Network⁠. Artists in the show include Amanda Mulcahy, Cathleen Cramer, Deirdre Colgan Jones, Elaine Luther, Kathryn Rodrigues, Kelley Clink, Melissa Mendiola, Jill Nahrstedt and myself, Kimmy Noonen.
