Dr. Ronald B. Neal (scholar on religion and Black males) is an associate professor in the department for the Study of Religions at Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, NC. He received his Ph.D. at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN, Religion, Ethics, and Culture, in 2004. He has published, "Democracy in 21st Century America: Race, Class, Religion, and Region," on Mercer University Press in 2012 and has an UPCOMING text entitled, "Beyond Death and Jail: Hip Hop, Religion, and Mass Incarceration" on Lexington Books.
