Today 8PointMMA.com caught up with new Bellator signing Eric Schambari to ask him 8 quick questions about the recent signing with Bellator.
Eric holds a professional record of 11-1 and trains out of Marc Laimon's Cobra Kai in Las Vegas, Nevada. Eric is on a 4 fight win streak after having some medical issues recently, and is the first announced Middleweight in the Bellator Tournament.
We asked Eric about how he has done so well after a long layoff and Eric replied "After my time off from the medical issues, I really went back and adjusted my game to go more for the finish, ending fights instead of having drawn out to decision. Since than I have been able to finish 3 of my 4 fights this year, I think they stood it up early in one of them or I think I would have 4 finishes."
When asked about what he thought of the Bellator Tournament Format Eric was quick to respond with "I like it, it keeps you busy, and basically you get a fight every month. You get to line up to see who's the best, then from there face the champion."
When asked about Bellator Middleweight Champion Hector Lombard Eric thought he "matches up good with him" but not before noting "Hector is a beast".
