No Gold Stars is a term used by us to really tell people that you don't get a pat on the back for doing the right thing. It's hard to understand why anyone would continue forward along that path if there isn't even anything to achieve. There is no award, no certificate, and definitely no money for doing the right thing; just the feeling of knowing you did the right thing in that given situation.
