In this episode, I want to approach the theme of growing through the maelstrom in four parts. First, I’m going to keep embracing the cringe, and will perform another Gaunate piece called Rougelike, with the theme of approaching the apocalypse from various angles. It’s a great piece, I think you’ll like it.
Second, I will tell the story of my experience literally gardening through the 2020 powerful derecho storm that smashed across Iowa, and the newfound community I shared in the aftermath.
Third, I will share my current experience growing in this spring's social and political maelstrom, what exciting gardening plans I have for the year and what I am currently doing. I love talking about gardening and I’ve got a lot planned for this year so I think this will be a fun segment to listen to. And fourth, I want to offer some higher level analysis of growing through the social and political maelstrom we find ourselves in. Not so much a play by play of the daily news that has happened, but some larger trends and lenses we can use to grow in our understanding and navigate through the present environment in alignment with our values.
