What are your first thoughts when you see a full moon hanging ominous and low in the night sky? That everlasting keystone of the cornerstone genre of horror known as Gothic. For a familiarly toned tale of werewolves, we go to Iceland and France to explore some of the origins of these nocturnal predators. Whether the villain is the underlying illnesses that cause the switch or society’s lack of understanding, one thing is for certain: they cause much more than a bump in the night.
