In this interview, we will hear from Violinist and Author Alicia Previn who comes by her musical heritage honestly. The daughter of world-famous composer Andre Previn and well-known Jazz Singer Betty Bennet, great music is one of her earliest memories. Like many she studied piano first as other mother and her sister played but she soon gravitated to violin and that has been her life-long love. Alicia shares her struggle of trying to explain that her brand of the violin was different and not just for limited genres or music styles. Over the years she created her own sound that people seem to love. As an avid environmentalist and teacher, she wrote a song about earthworms that led to her first book. She then followed that book with a story about a tortoise and the desert, then a story about giving bees a chance. Her fourth book What Paradise Found is still very much about nature and how that spiritual connection offers healing, peace, and joy while showing children a magical way to deal with moving to a new place.
