Wages should be determined by the market and the worth of your skills and experience.
How much is someone willing to pay you in exchange of your time
How valuable is your time?
The government is forcing business to pay people more than their time is worth.
This leads to an inefficient system.
Businesses need to make up for the increase in cost by raising the price of its goods and services.
The consumers aka the people are the ones that lose.
the economy adjusts prices to put minimum wage earners back to their previous position if not worse.
I say worse because they might not have the same working hours, same benefits, or they might be out of a job.
Middle still earning the same but prices have gone up, the middle class gets poorer.
Immoral to the rest of the people, a so-called benefit for the few to a big cost for the many.
immoral because it stops people from working for a smaller wage even if they wanted to. It's illegal under the law.
So now a person with fewer skills can't work because his skill level is not close to that of a minimum wage.
A market base wage guarantees more jobs, longer hours, lower prices, and richer middle class.
