Each episode recalls conversations and events in the life of the pretty raven, aka Maxine Yo, ward sister in an English hospital and a very practical person. In 1975 her life turned upside-down when she encountered the extraordinary Julie Mason (who she calls Onion) - at once she knew that she would always devoted to her!.
Onion is a spiritual seeker and a hot fire – she tells Maxine that her best chance of making progress in this lifetime is to stick with her, even though it won’t always be easy. Both predictions have turned out to be true, and now the two friends have to face up to some serious consequences!
