Despite the newest advances in technology, modern hospitals in the early 20th century had higher child mortality rates than less equipped hospitals.   The reason why came to be known as hospitalism, a phenomenon where more sterile, clean, and restrictive environments can become more deadly than the initial disease.   

Come and learn about germ theory, the care of the sick, and a long chapter in the ancient book of Matthew where Jesus encounters the sick and forgotten and demonstrates something new about the power to heal with compassion.
