I am so excited to welcome our guest today. She is an inspiration of mine and also a former client.
Susie Shaw is the founder and Executive Director of William's Be Yourself Challenge (WBYC), a nonprofit created in memory of her son William. WBYC empowers people to live authentically and supports grieving families through community programs and The Green House—a forthcoming retreat in Falmouth, Massachusetts, offering cost-free, restorative stays for families navigating loss.
Through her leadership, writing, and advocacy, Susie helps others find hope and meaning after loss. She authors the Substack Dear William, contributes to grief conversations in podcasts and lectures, and wrote the preface to her husband Nick Shaw's book My Teacher, My Son. Her work blends lived experience and compassion to remind us that grief, like love, takes many forms.
Susie shares her journey as a bereaved mom and offers ways to help others through grief and loss. You can learn more about Susie and WBYC here: www.bereavementmom.com | www.wbycgiving.org
