Fran and Ant's Educator Check-In

Episode 6: When was the last time you went to Black graduation?

Listen Later

In light of the Movement for Black Lives and the global protests that followed the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery, we talk solidarity and the anti-Black racism perpetuated by educators.

Fran and Ant's Educator Check-In:

Francine is an instructional coach for new and veteran teachers and I am an associate professor of sociology. For the past ten years, Saturday mornings have been a time of critical reflection and supporting each other as educators in the K-12 system and in higher ed.

We want to support, inspire, and share strategies to help navigate the ordinary and extraordinary challenges of working in education at this time. We’ll discuss the overall wellness of educators, balancing home and work-at-home life, and how this moment will shape the direction of education.

Join us as we take our kitchen conversation online. In addition to asking questions, we invite you to share your experiences and ideas with us.
