Salvation Connection

Episode 6: Who is Jesus The Good Shepherd

Listen Later

Who Jesus Is: The Good Shepherd Salvation Connection is here to walk with you as you make the most important decision of your life—inviting Jesus Christ into your heart as Lord and Savior. These messages are meant to lovingly guide you through the questions and uncertainties that many people have about Him.
Jesus called Himself the Good Shepherd who lays down His life for the sheep. Sheep are vulnerable, defenseless, and prone to wander. Without a shepherd, they are lost.

That’s a picture of us. We wander. We get lost in sin, in selfishness, in chasing what never satisfies. We go our own way, and it leaves us empty. But the Good Shepherd doesn’t abandon His sheep—He comes looking. He knows us by name. He protects, provides, and ultimately gave His life on the cross.

Why did He have to die? Because sin left us helpless, and only His sacrifice could bring us back. The Shepherd laid down His life so His sheep could live. That’s not duty—that’s love.

Maybe you feel like you’ve wandered too far, like you could never find your way back. Friend, the Good Shepherd has not forgotten you. He is calling you, ready to forgive you, ready to lead you home.

Today, you can stop wandering. You can belong to Him. He offers to lead you, protect you, and give you eternal life.

SINNER’S PRAYER
If you’ve never trusted Christ, pray from your heart:
Dear Lord, I am a sinner, and I need a Savior.
I am sorry for my sins, and I repent.  Pause
I believe You died on the Cross for my sins and rose again. Pause
I ask you to come into my heart right now and be my Lord and Savior.  Pause
I know from this point moving forward I will have eternal life in you.  Pause
Please order my steps and help me to live in such a way that brings honor and glory to Your Name Pause
Thank you, Jesus, for your gift of salvation.
If you prayed that prayer and believe it in your heart, God’s Word says you are saved—not because of what you’ve done, but because of who Jesus is and what He has done for you.
The prayer does not save you; it is your faith now being placed in Jesus Christ as your Savior and what he did on the Cross that saves you.
God's love and his grace is being freely given to you and know that you are a new creation.
Second Corinthians 5:17 tells us that the old is gone and all things are new.
So don't walk in your old ways, begin a new walk in the ways of Christ.
Find a good bible and begin to read God’s Word, start praying and be sensitive to how the Holy Spirit speaks to you.
Join a local church that teaches the inerrant word of God and use the gifts and talents he has given you for his glory and the benefit of others.
I pray that your walk with our Lord and Savior may be full, and you especially enjoy His moments in your life.
May God bless you
