When Burt messes up the NPR reenactment, he immediately begins apologizing to Sam and Evan. Sam interrupts him though, and explains how he's been reading that one should never apologize. After being taken aback for a moment, Evan suggests that they look through this passage together. Once they finish reading, the trio define what an apology is, discuss the difference between a bad apology and true repentance and reconciliation, and what the heart attitude should be when asking for forgiveness.
