In this 3 part series we will look at the topic of lying and deception.  Many conclude that any lie or deception is automatically a sin.  Well this isn't always the case in the eyes of God.  It depends on the situation and who's will is being done.  There are actually several instances in the bible where "church leaders" will proclaim certain righteous men committed a sin due to a lie or deception when if you study God's word, that conclusion is not taught in the bible.  In part 1 we will first look at examples where instances of lying or deception occurred that just about everyone would conclude there was no sin on the part of the one taking part in the lying or deception.  As a matter of fact, one such person such behavior was credited to them as righteousness.  We will look at several specific examples of God directing  the deception, as well as Rahab, and an example with Jesus.  In upcoming part 2 we will look at what God defines as someone who lies, and part 3 will finish with events in the bible that many "church leaders" are coming to a false conclusion.
