This was a tribute show dedicated to the late Great Tony 'Shades' Valence who ran the 'Shades Of Soul'  show on Radio Medway while I was growing up in late 70's early 80's. He broke the song ' Misty Blue ' by Dorothy Moore in the UK and interview the Soul Greats like The OJays and Gladys Knight. He was part of the soundtrack to my youth and sadly when he died Radio Medway ( now BBC Radio Kent ) were asked if they would be doing a tribute for the person that put them on the map, some 20 something herbert started talking to me about demographics so I ended the call and decided to do our own.
