Smoother than a Teddy Riley IG Live is this week's New Theory Radio.
Host Nav Nanwa welcomes one half of the amazing music group A Tribe Called Red - Tim '2oolman' Hill and producer extraordinaire Elaquent to talk about the recent beat battle craze that's been lighting up Instagram. We share thoughts on the battles that have taken place so far, as well as a wish-list of producer battles we'd love to see happen. 2oolman and Elaquent also share some theories on what makes the perfect Hip Hop beat.
And then, we continue to profile some of the youth organizations that were able to receive funding courtesy of the Access Charity Bright Ideas competition. Nav welcomes Jashnoor and Vidhi from the Brampton Multicultural Youth Council to talk about the importance of understanding multiculturalism at an early age. As well, they share a theory on what youth engagement can look like during this pandemic.
And then we close things out with the Artistic Programmer for the Rose Brampton - Danny Harvey. Danny sheds light on the 'This Is Brampton: Live Online' series that the theatre is producing, which is a way to give Brampton artists paid performance opportunities during this trying time. He also explains how artists can get involved.
