Hey friends! Welcome back to Strong and Courageous! Have you ever broken something really special — maybe your favorite toy, a bracelet, or something you made — and thought, “It’s ruined”?
Sometimes our hearts can feel like that, too. We make mistakes, we mess up, or we feel like we don’t fit in anymore. But I want to tell you a story about a woman Jesus met who felt exactly like that.
One hot afternoon, Jesus was walking through a place called Samaria. He stopped by a well to rest, and a woman came to get water.
Now, here’s the thing — most people came to get water early in the morning when it was cool, but she came at noon, when the sun was blazing. You know why? Because she didn’t want to see anyone. She had made a lot of mistakes in her life, and people in her town talked about her. They looked down on her.
But Jesus didn’t ignore her. He started talking to her — which surprised her, because back then, men usually didn’t talk to women like that, and especially not to someone everyone else avoided.
Jesus told her that He knew everything about her — every mistake, every secret, every hurt — and instead of judging her, He offered her something amazing: living water.
He meant new life, the kind that only comes from knowing Him.
Suddenly, she realized: this was no ordinary man. This was the Savior!
She was so excited that she ran back to her town — the same people who used to whisper about her — and she told everyone, “Come and see the man who told me everything I ever did!”
And you know what? Because of her story, many people came to believe in Jesus.
God didn’t cancel her because of her past — He redeemed her story.
And He can do the same for you.
It doesn’t matter what you’ve done or how broken you feel. When you come to Jesus, He can turn your broken pieces into something beautiful.
