Is Iago in love with Othello? Does he hate that about himself? Wouldn't that be motivation to destroy first everyone else that Othello loves and then the man himself? Hey, it's a theory we have... see what you think. In this whopper of a scene, Act 3: Scene 3, the antitheses, the opposites in the themes of the play start to swap places. Watch as Othello's language changes and he begins adopting Iago's word choices - bestial imagery for sure. It's a fascinating study in psychological manipulation.
