Hello Pups and Kittens and welcome to episode 63 of The Groomer Next Door. This episode will mark our first year of being a podcast. And we have a great episode for you.We have a mini series on our YouTube channel. This Wednesday will be the first episode in an undetermined amount of episodes which will air one episode every Wednesday until the series runs it's course. And now it's my pleasure to introduce our guest; From Tom Hicks, JDPresidentIn 1994, we opened our doors in Huntington Beach, CA with the goal of helping as many charitable nonprofit organizations as possible in obtaining their IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. Twenty years later, we are still providing expert IRS 501(c)(3) Exemption Application preparation services to individuals and businesses in California and across the country.Over that period of time, however, one particular area of the business became increasingly important to me – helping animal rescue and animal support groups to obtain their IRS Nonprofit tax status as 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations. While I continue to prepare IRS and State Exemption Applications for any number of different nonprofit organizations, big and small, I keep coming back to the animals. With the crushing competition among all nonprofits today for the “charitable dollar” along with the overwhelming need for more animal rescue groups to flourish, organizations without tax-exempt status would be hard pressed to raise enough funding to survive for more than a short while. Realistically, to survive in the rescue world today, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status is crucial.  Once an organization obtains IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, they can legally offer a tax deduction to their contributors and donors for the contributions made to the organization. Our organization will be EXCLUSIVELY conducted for the purpose of helping animal rescue and support groups to obtain their 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status.FACT: Over 80,000 animals are euthanized EVERY WEEK!FACT: Shelters are overcrowded, understaffed and have suffered dramatic budget cutsFACT: There are hundreds of animal rescue groups in CA all seeking funding for their charitable operationsFACT: ONLY through the efforts of animal rescue and support groups, coupled with public awareness and community involvement, will the needless slaughter of innocent animals be curbed.OUR COMMITMENTMy wife Linda is a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), licensed in CA. We have sponsored an animal rescue and foster program in our home for over 10 years – over 150 dogs, cats, possums, bunnies, chickens and other “critters in need” have come through our doors! Linda works with the local shelters and other rescue groups, and, along with my efforts to assist rescue organizations with their tax-exempt status so that they can raise more money and save more animals, we try to help save as many as we can.I have personally set up over 200 nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations, with a 100% success rate! Linda and I both get great satisfaction knowing that, partially through our efforts, these wonderful rescue and support organizations can move that much closer to their collective goal – no animal left behind! It is also for that reason that we offer a 10% discount off of our standard nonprofit fee for animal rescue and support groups.Contact Information501(c)(3)4u16162 Beach Blvd., Suite 207Huntington Beach, CA 92647Toll Free: (866) 4NOLAWYERSLocal: (714) 842-7377Fax: (714) 596-5512Email: [email protected] let me conclude by thanking Julie Miller of Lady Luck Consulting, LLCYour small businesses' public and media relations team.
