Today’s episode features a monologue from Miriam, the older sister of Moses, reflecting at the end of her life on how God used her brother to deliver the Israelites from bondage. She begins by recounting the birth of Moses amidst a time of uncertainty and fear, his upbringing in two different worlds, and his killing of an Egyptian which turns him into a fugitive. She then recalls the pivotal moment when God called Moses from the burning bush to return to Egypt and demand the release of the Hebrew people from Pharaoh's bondage, which he ultimately does after plagues are visited upon the Egyptians. 

 

For the rest of the monologue, she explores the journey of the Hebrew people in the wilderness. They faced trials and challenges but were constantly provided for by God. He guided them with pillars of cloud and fire, parted the Red Sea for their escape, and sustained them with manna and water. The people struggled with faith and grumbled, but Moses remained steadfast and interceded on their behalf. Ultimately, they approached the threshold of the Promised Land, a testament to God's faithfulness and the lessons learned throughout their journey.
