About Helen
Helen is the Academic Director for Education Partnerships at the University of Sunderland. She is a a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Chartered Psychologist.
She graduated from Newcastle University in 2001 with first class honours and the Mary McKinnon Prize. She completed her PhD at Durham University and has experience in teaching in several North East universities.
Helen is an evolutionary psychologist and her research interests include sexuality and sexual behaviour, dark personality, adult play (related to a current project on reborn dolls) and higher education pedagogy (including inter-professional learning). She also has significant experience of programme design and development, and of higher education quality assurance and enhancement.

About me
👉 My name is Dr Jolel Miah & I am a Chartered Psychologist and a Lecturer in Psychology at a UK University. I have a BSc in Psychology, an MSc in Health Psychology & my PhD was in the area of Applied Psychology & Public Health which evaluated a motivational intervention to change walking and cycling behaviour.
🤳 I created these channels for further reading, sharing study tips for my students & also for the wider public (if they want to learn more). I am developing my own skills in teaching & I am hoping this will help me along the way.
🤓 I will also discuss & share historical and contemporary issues from the world of Psychology. Currently, I am on teaching a variety of modules at the University including Psychology in the Media.
