As the old saying goes, the older you get the wiser you get! This weeks message is about this statement. "When Abraham was ninety-nine years old the Lord appeared to Abraham and said to him, "I am God Almighty; walk before Me, and be blameless." - Genesis 17:1 ESV

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6 NKJV

"The glory of the young is their strength; the gray hair of experience is the splendor of the old." - Proverbs 20:29 NLT

"Do not cast me off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength is spent." - Psalm 71:9 ESV

"I am writing to you, fathers, because you know Him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, dear children, because you know the Father. I write to you, fathers, because you know Him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one." - 1 John 2:13-14 NIV

"Wisdom belongs to the aged, and understanding to the old." - Job 12:12 NLT

As we grow older, we do become wiser because God is giving us that wisdom and knowledge to share and guide our younger generation. Your experiences allow you to teach your young ones the paths they should avoid and the path they should follow. God will also guide them and give them wisdom in the time God has set for them.
