Hiʻilani Shibata is an educator, mom and Mahina (or moon) practitioner. Born and raised in Hilo, she graduated from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa with a degree in Hawaiian Language. Today she is a culture trainer and consultant and co-founder of Ka Mahina Project where she teaches about how ancestral knowledge of the moon can help guide us in the present day.
