NTR is back like a Jordan comeback in 1995.
This week, we continue our five-week look at The Last Dance, which is the documentary series profiling Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls dynasty as they head into their last season. Each week, we'll be breaking down the key happenings and historical events from the two episodes with a brand new guest. On this week's episode we are joined by Northpole Hoops CEO Tariq Sbiet to chat about Episodes 7 and 8. We talk about Jordan's tenure as a baseball player, the role Scottie Pippen played on the Bulls after Jordan left, Jordan as a teammate and what his actions can teach people when it comes to leadership, and lastly, superstition in sports.
Then, we are joined by music journalist Natalie Harmsen (Exclaim! & BeatRoute) to talk about Bryan Adams and his controversial Instagram post which was considered racist and xenophobic. We explore the validity of this, and whether this will have an impact on his long-tenured career. We also discuss how this further exposes an ugly under-belly of racism/xenophobia that's existed in Canada for quite some time.
