"Gonzo Recovery" is a phrase Jaymee coined to describe his healing journey out of 12 step sobriety, how he returned to sanity and now maintains a positive relationship with altered states of consciousness after a decade spent in recovery, therapy, meditation, plant medicine ceremonies and spiritual growth. Jaymee's best friend, attorney and music publisher Jeremy Smith share gnarly (untold) stories from their checkered pasts as former addicts, some of the most incomprehensible amends they had to make in the wake of their destruction, the necessity of focused periods of abstinence, though Jaymee ultimately makes a compelling case for why 12 Step Recovery and mental health treatment were only the first stops on his healing journey.
