As a part of our series, “Jesus in Every Book of the Bible,” we turn for a second day to the continuing story of Elijah, the Tishbite, a prophet in the land of Israel. One day, the young son of the widow, in whose home Elijah is hiding, dies suddenly. Elijah prays fervently to the Lord and the boy is restored to life.

 

In today’s top ten list, we consider this story and the stories from yesterday, as we explore ten important lessons from 1 Kings 17. We also discuss how each of these lessons foreshadow Jesus.
