What is it like to be an uninvited guest versus the experience of being invited? To be invited means that there is a place of honor. It is about being accepted and known. It is an experience of affirmation. When this happens in the process of a shared spiritual gathering, we are left empowered and uplifted. We are left feeling affirmed and encouraged. In the scripture found in Mark 13:1-8, Jesus is leaving the temple feeling empowered and also seeing that he is clear about what is important, and what is about to take place. His vision is about the birth of a new beginning. We are on the threshold of a new beginning.
