Yes, we dive headfirst into the titular 1984 not-musical about what happens when a small town outlaws fun and forces newcomer Kevin Bacon to teach the kids interpretive dance so they can have one final hoedown before sacrificing themselves to the demon Baphomet. We think that’s what happened, anyway. This movie is truly a mess and confused us on multiple levels. And yet it has defied the odds to become a pop 80s classic that gave Kenny Loggins his only Number 1 song while also catapulting Kevin Bacon’s whole career. Who are we to argue with that sort of pedigree?
