One of the key elements in the system of systems that makes up our counseling profession is something that Professor Chuck Romig and others call, "Conscience Protections". That's a $3 term for protecting your religious liberties with a specific eye towards your rights as an American Citizen not to have to check your rights and beliefs at the counseling door. The Christians are the usual target but this is not a Christian only issue. This thought-provoking discussion is well worth your time and the time of any other counselor you're willing to share it with.
