What if we told you that discussing racism didn't have to involve trigger words? That's exactly what we found during our dynamic conversation with Act Now, a group formed in the throes of the George Floyd incident and the ongoing pandemic. We ventured into the daily realities of racism, explored the colorism within the black community, and reflected on how experiences shape our perceptions of racism. Revisiting the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we scrutinized how his call for economic empowerment met rejection and how the black community has weathered a long history of oppression.
How often have we considered the power of representation? We pondered this, and more, as we journeyed through how people tend to dodge criticism over taking action. As we ruminated the traumatic effects of centuries-old racism on the Black community, we also contemplated the role of white allies and the importance of open dialogues to go beyond surface-level discussions. We examined how collective economic power can challenge corporate influence in politics and pondered the potential of blockchain voting technology, self-sovereign identity, and banning negative political ads.
In the concluding parts of this dialogue, we turned our attention to the insurance industry and its role in perpetuating systemic racism. We considered how this affects the black community's access to insurance policies and generational wealth and sought ways to mitigate this through financial literacy and empowerment. As we wrapped up, we contemplated the abolition of the two-party system, the role of technology in achieving true democracy, and the importance of education in empowering people to vote without party bias. Join us as we bravely navigate these thorny issues, seeking solutions to racism and economic disparity.

The Human Condition podcast aims to break through the ego-imposed, artificial boundaries that serve only to divide us. By engaging in dialog, from a place of love, on subjects where lines are typically drawn in the sand, we will cut through semantics to examine dogmatic, preordained ideologies in an effort to achieve harmonious discourse that promotes understanding, empathy, and compassion.
