On December 18th 1994, Alison dropped her friend home after an evening of wine and balderdash. 

When she returned back and pulled up outside her apartment, a man with a knife pushed Alison onto the passenger seat of her car and drove off. 

Once he collected his ‘friend’; they raped her, disembowelled her, cut her throat and left her for dead. 

Miraculously, Alison survived and walked her way to the road to safety. She suffered from injuries so severe that the doctors said how she survived can't be explained any other way than a miracle.
