  • Create professional-quality graphs: GraphPad Prism, Python (Matplotlib), or R (ggplot2)
  • Design figures in high quality: Illustrator, Affinity Designer
  • Electronic lab notebooks (ELNs): LabArchives or Benchling 
  • To stay focus and write efficiently: the Pomodoro Technique
  • Hard drive reference: ⁠WD ⁠DD 4 To WD Elements Portable
  • Cloud storage services: Onedrive, Google Drive, iCloud, dropbox
  • Automate backups: Time Machine (Mac) or FreeFileSync (Windows) 
  • Project management tools: Trello, Asana, or Notion
  • Reference management tools: Zotero, EndNote, or Mendeley 
  • Version control to track changes in your manuscript : Git or GitHub 
  • Collaboration tools: Google Docs or Overleaf
  • Interactive and Dynamic data visualization tools: Tableau or Plotly
