1.November 9 - Furtherfield and NEoN Digital Arts Festival
The call closed on September 4, but it is worth noting that this event called "The CryptoDetectorist – coins, trades & hoards" held by Furtherfield's Blockchain Art Commission and NEoN invited proposals for a "new artistic online commission that takes the blockchain as the site of its manifestation." Examples included:
a smart contract that sits on the blockchain for interaction by an art audience via a web browser
a visualisation of blockchain activity, whether famous hacks or daily coffee purchases
a set of complex scripts or transactions that make the blockchain itself into art
crypto tokens, assets or trading cards9that make a game of blockchain value
thought experiments or illustrative works
The idea is that the art should work as a future media archeological artefact of blockchain finance and it has to be exhibitable online.
