For episode 7, I'm joined by Trae Wisecarver (@wrestlingclio on the bird app, and host of the Outlaw History channel on YouTube) joins me to discuss what happened before the U.S. Civil War. While most of us know about Civil War, we don't know what really drove the nation to break apart. So we'll talk the Mexican-American War, multiple compromises, a caning on the Senate floor, and the rest of the events that led the nation to war.
Host's Note: Trae, you were absolutely spot on about John Brown. While he wasn't the first tried for treason in American history, we was the first to be hung for it.
